Freshman and sophomore relationships aren't bad, just if you were a senior, it'd be a problem. Are you thinking about asking him out or something? I mean there's nothing wrong with a freshie and a sophomore going out.

It sounds like you are thinking about asking him out. This is not appropriate for ROTC during class of course. I would approach him after school or at lunch time. Not in rotc during formation or anything.

Also, if you choose to pursue a relationship with him, he is you subordinate in rank. Meaning that could pose ranking issues, and should be kept confidential outside of class. Be responsible in your actions, play it safe.

he's one year younger. ask him out if you want to. in highschool if they're between one and two years of your age don't worry abou it.
