I found a PSP in June lying right next to my mailbox and when I turned it on, the LCD was cracked. So I just stored it in my wall unit. Now, 4 months later, I decided to fix it. I ordered a new LCD on ebay (which hasn't arrived yet), And once it gets here, I'll install it. But the PSP will not turn on since I haven't used it in 4 months. If I buy a charger, will it be able to work? Or will it be "bricked"?

The psp wont brick from not using it for such a long time, it'll only brick if u mess around with the internal memory which is not really possible if you havent used it

tho the fact tat it was lying next to ur mailbox means its an unwanted psp (probably) and it might be bricked...instead of buying a charger and whatnot, since u already got the LCD coming, just install the LCD, borrow a charger from a friend who has a psp or just take it to the nearest gamestore and ask if you could use their charger for a few minutes, just to test out whether the PSP works fine or not, if it's brick, i advise u to sell off the parts (excluding the internal memory) if it's not, then that's a free psp right there

there's one thing i noticed about the psp tho, the battery dies by itself after a week or 2 of not using it, whether if it's charged or not...well tats my 2 cents

Chances are if the LCD was just broken it should still work. Buy a charger, fix the LCD and see what happens. If it is bricked..take the charger back and enjoy your fancy paper weight!

If you have a charger it would proably come back on fine, worst thing that happens is you would need a battery as well. Now keep in mind though the charger is also an AC adapter. So you plug it in and turn it on. If it comes on then wait and see if the battery charges. If not then you likely need a new one. Chances are though it would be fine.
