I really don't see why you would need a lubricant, if its uncomfortable maybe you should try a smaller tampon, or a different brand with a different applicator.

Dont use anything , it will only affect the absorbancy of the tampon , Vaseline being petroleum jelly if for external use only and reacts with mucous membrane causing dryness, last thing you want.....Make sure you read the info . on link below , lost a good friend to tss its not as uncommon as they say ... beware ....!!!

Why would you need any lubrication? You would think it's lubricated enough being on your period and if not then you shouldn't use tampons because you could risk getting TSS (toxic shock syndrome). But to really answer your question, I wouldn't it's too risky

yes, vaseline or petroleum jelly is harmless and is completely safe...the tampon should go in ok without lubricants though,u may be using a tampon that is too large for you..try regular tampons or pads if they are hard to slide in...if u prefer what u are using then go ahead and use the vaseline

IT IS NOT GOING TO HURT ANYTHING, DON'T USE A LOT, BUT MAYBE TRY A TAMPON THAT HAS A PLASTIC APPLICATOR, THEY WORK MUCH BETTER THAN THE CARDBOARD ONES....SILK GLIDES I THINK ARE MADE BY PLAYTEX WORK GREAT...NO LUB NEEDES...I KNOW THOSE CARDBOARD ONES SUCK...LOL

no.... it is not water soluble (water won't wash it away) and you might get an infection from it.
