will a body still smell after embalming?

i was asked this question by someone who lost there father three weeks ago and buried in a mousaliem they claim they smell something dead at the cemetery

Hi. A body will have some oder, even if it's the embalming fluid.

Embalming slows decomposition but doesn't stop it. There would be some odor.

hell yes that stuff smells relay weard. and duh they smell something dead at a cemetery. lol
