Hello, I have been trying to get pregnant now for months. I know exactly when I ovulate and my periods are always regular. I am now 4 days late for my period. I took a pregnancy test a few days ago and it had a really light/pale positive line. I waited a few more days and I took one today and it was negative. My breasts are really sore and every once in a while I will get a period like cramp. Could I be pregnant?

Hi.
I am a medicine student.
Being late for 4 days is not a serioous sign because the whoe menstrual cycle is very accurate one and there can always be some days late or early.
But if you are not used to such things, or if you are used to have an accuarte menstrual cycle then you should make a test.
Goodluck.

Hi, I'm a medical student and I recently finished my OB/GYN rotation. It is much more likely for a pregnancy test to give a positive result and be wrong than to give a negative result and be wrong. If you have a negative result four days after you expected your period, it is unlikely that you are pregnant, though this depends on how regular your cycle is. The first weakly positive result could have been a misinterpretation. You might consider buying a digital test that gives you a definite "pregnant" or "not pregnance" spelled out on the screen. Good luck!

If you had a light positive result, consult with your doctor. It is very rare to get a false positive and more likely to get a false negative. A pregnancy test detects a certain hormone and would be very unlikely to come up positive unless there was at least a small amount of that hormone present. However, if the second was negative, the amount of hormone could just be too low to detect at that time. Have a blood test done..it is most accurate.
Good Luck!

I don't think so but hopefully you are. If your period doesn't come after this month is over than you might actually be pregnant. But sometimes women want to be pregnant so bad that we say everything is a sign of pregnancy but hey if God wants you to be a mother eventually you will be a mother. Remember that God is always on time

Well you could be pregnant. My last pregnancy test kit I bought was defective. Both tests failed to give a line showing the product was working. Try another brand or go to the doctors.

I would go to the doctor and find out because it could be true or like some of us you could just be late. So go to your doctor to officially find out.
