I unplugged my cable modem for 20 minutes but I still have same IP address. Should I leave it unplugged all night?

y do u have to change your ip address?
an ip address is unique identification of your computer.

Assuming you are in NJ?? I lived there once. The best way is to call Opt online. fine their number at their website, i believe its optonline.net.
You wont change the IP address by unplugging it, it will be the same. Also you can try to turn off Dynamic IP but i am not too familiar with this.

Disbale dynamic IP , n try manual...
Ethernet address(Physical address) cant change.. so u can not renew it unless u change ur network card.
