Only your doctor/s can answer that properly. It could be nearly nothing or it could be more severe. Just be sure to get at least one good medical opinion and if not happy, get a second opinion.

You didn't say how old your daughter was. The doctor could be looking for abnormal growths in the abdomen, a blockage in the intestines, ovarian cysts (especially if she has had a period), or any number of things. The scans will show if there are any abnormal growths or blockages and the blood tests will show if it is caused by something else. Is your daughter experiencing any changes or stressful events? If so it could be as simple as anxiety which can cause stomach pains. Of course your doctor will do a thorough evaluation and decide what the likely cause is. You should ask your doctor this question, he can answer it better than anyone here could.

Dont be scared...you go to doctors with these problems so then its thier job to find out what that problem is by running tests on her...its just a common procedure. I'm not saying that your daughter has this but i used to have pains in the stomach every day too so the doctor sent me for the same tests (scans, blood etc) and nothing showed up on them. The next step was to have a laproscopy (a camera through my belly button) to find out if i had endometrios...and it turned out i did! Many girls get this...so they mite check your daughter for this. Good luck...there is nothing to worry about untill there is something to worry bout...no use stressing for no reason!

Hi, It could be anything including apendicitis, the doctors will let you know. The fact that you mention it comes up first thing in the morning and last thing at night makes me think of allergies, although they tend to show up in most people as allergic rhinitis ie post nasal drip and a cough first thing in the morning and around bedtime. Wait on the doctor's test results, but if everything appears to be fine then check her for allergies or possibly worms.

Problems with the organs in the abdominal region i.e. the digestive system, liver, gall bladder, pancreas, appendix and kidney could be the main reasons for a bad stomach ache. Gastroenteritis can give you a severe stomach ache, while stomach pain from cancer may only be mild. I found a lot of great information on causes of stomach pain and its treatment at http://tinyurl.com/l9k9x

Only a doctor can tell you if there is a problem, the scan and blood tests should reveal all so try and relax. lots of people have pains in their stomachs from time to time or it could be she is allergic to something she is eating.
