In the Hispanic cultures, a young woman comes of age at 15. It seems to be a huge occasion, and taken very seriously by the family.
In the U.S., a "Sweet 16" is sort of a coming of age, but more of a general celebration. There is really no certain cultural heritage attached to it.

Well a 15 anos is different, cause it's more fancy & tradititional.
& a sweet 16 is like a party & you can have whatever you want.
