I have a kawasaki mojave 250 It has a glass that shows you the oil level but should the glass be full with oil while running or off. when i have the quad off the oil is full but when it is on the oil level changes?

Probably when it's off. When it's running the oil level goes down right? thats because the oil is being moved all around the engine and not just all sitting there in the pan. Mine has that same style and i check it when it's off. Make sure you are on level ground or thr reading will be unaccurate. There should be 2 lines on the side of the little glass window right.the oil should be in between those to marks, its like a min max mark.

I owned a quad and I own a motorcycle now with the small window oil inspection view.With the machine on a levil area such as garage floor with the motor not running for at least three( 3 ) minutes the oil level of the oil usually should be half on the glass.You wont see any levil if the motor is running.There should be level indicators there if you look closely.

When the oil is being pumped, the level will drop. If you see the oil half-way up while the engine is off, you should be in the safe zone.
