I unplugged my cable modem for 20 minutes and it didn't change the IP address. Will it work if I leave it unplugged all night?

cable ip addresses tend to be "static" I have been using the same ip address for 2-3 months now you can tell the internet explorer to renew the ip address but it may or may not change it good luck with that.

Not necessarily. Depends how long Optimum Online sets the reservation for. It could take up to a week for it to change or longer. DSL seems to change much quicker. I've had the same cable IP for over a month now.

You can try going to the command prompt and ipconfig release and ipconfig renew.
