I have a 10 base-t ehternet hub. I plugged the modem into the uplink, comp. 1 is plugged into Tp1 and comp. 2 Tp2. My uncle gave me this router and said I wouldn't have to do anything in to it, just plug the cables in. Didn't work. Help!

Plug the modem into the router, dont even use the hub, because what will happen is you only get ONE IP address with you ISP service, and the first device that gets turned on recives that IP address and the other device will not connect, where the router takes that incoming IP address and assigns a private one for each of the device that are hooked up

It depends on your setup.

If your router is a home internet router with enough plugs for everything, then don't even use the hub.

If you want to use both, or if there aren't enough plugs on the router, then plug all your PC's into the hub, run a cable from the uplink to the router, and plug the modem into the router.

That should work.
