Right side means gay. Some people are saying it doesn't matter but you will probably have gay guys coming up to you if you pierce the right side.
On guys, having both sides pierced also makes me wonder if he's gay..
One or 2 in the left ear is fine on a straight guy.

Neither. If a guy has only one ear pierced it means he ran out crying before the other ear could be done.

The left is generally, but not specifically, pierced on straight guys and the opposite for gay men. Having said that, I'm gay and I have only my left ear pierced. So in this day, who knows. There are no clear lines anymore.

That's just another urban myth, like the one about which direction one parts his hair; on THIS side, he's str8, on THAT side, he's gay...
Mu hubby says that the earing thing goes like this:
LEFT ear pierced; STR8
RIGHT ear pierced; GAY
BOTH ears; Bi-sexual (you swing both ways).
Of course, soon after he got his ear pierced, he noticed people didn't care anymore which side they were doing it, which makes the validity of such a claim irrelevant!

no. it doesn't matter. but left is right, right is wrong. just keep that in mind. both sides doesn't matter.
