I will sometimes. Or I'll just pick a person at random, and go through their best answers, and give them some thumbs up. I figure if they're good answers, why not give them a few extra points. It'll make someone's day.

No never. But I have been to pages where someone seems to have been in that particular mood.
That's a perfect reason why it makes no sense whatsoever to care about how people rate your answers. There's no way no have any idea where anyone is coming from when they rate questions...so why waste one's energy caring.
