Norton firewall is blocking windows firewall even thou windows has norton on the accept programs. I still havent figured it out, how to make norton accept windows firewall.
Anybody ever had the same problem?

Turn off the Windows firewall in the security center section of the control panel... the Windows firewall is a joke and your better off just haveing norton

Others have already beat me, but I want to add that both opinions are right: 1) never run 2 firewalls at the same time, at best it will slow your machine down, it also could hang the machine or even open up security holes.

And 2) *don't* use Windows firewall, it is indeed a joke. If you do a little web research you can see it is the absolute minimal thing they can do to say they have a firewall. Norton is probably OK, but there are much better ones out there for free. I use Jetico, which is really good (lots of control), but a little difficult to learn how to use. There are other free ones, comodo is getting really good reviews.

You NEVER want to run 2 firewalls at the same time. It will really mess up your computer. That is why Norton turned it off.

It is never a good idea to have two firewalls. The firewalls can interfere with eachother and cause problems. Disable one of the firewalls.

turn off your windows firewalls. Your Norton has a worm protection in it that will do what windows can. It is okay to turn it off and safe.

I prefare Norton's I disabled Windows' by myself
