I don't know whether the obituary is for a famous person or not. If the obituary is for a famous person, there would be no trouble getting it online. If for an ordinary person, I would contact the libraryn or the local newspaper closest to the location where the person died. They might have information on microfilm/fiche and would give you a copy.
Good Luck!

Our local paper has an archive, and all they need is the name and the date (and a fee). The library MAY have it, and it will tak more time. Call the paper first, and leave the option of the library open.

Depending on the newspaper, and if you live in a large town, try calling your public library and see if they have a newspaper department. Our library here has one.

Just put the paper you are looking for in the area you want in the search web - find obit. then search the year. It's self explanatory
when you find the correct paper.
good luck
