My phone is a piece of crap so my brother gave me his old one. His is a triband samsung flip phone that he had with tmobil (don't know model but about a year to 2 old). When I put my sim card in there it reads ''wrong sim card'' on the screen. I live in europe and here it doesnt matter what phone, you simply put your sim card in any phone and it becomes your phone. He lives in the US, is there a problem with the switch from US to euro? Thanks a ton for your help

i agree with roger, most of the old tmobile phone are only dual band and are no help in other parts of the world other than the U.S. where they are meant to used. the best thing you can do is just get a phone in europe since thats where you live and the phones are already unlocked to begin with just like you said.

its not the sim card thats the problem if your using a local sim card in the local area where u are living its the phone.
