It's leaking....I've already began engine breakdown, don't think I have to pull the crank pulley or bottom half. My timing belts fine.
Can't I just slip it off with out removing the lower half. Seems to me I should be able to get the water pump off without total break down of the entire front section From what I've seen so far it looks like all I have to do is remove the top end of the timing belt on each head - then I'm at the water pump. Why would I need to go any further on the lower half ? As I say the belts fine, why not leave it attached to the lower half do the water pump replacement - re-assemble and be done ???

The reason is you must aline the timing marks on the crank and the cam(s) .You must do this is beacuse if you do not put it on correctly, you will bend the valves.
The belt the timing marks and the tenisioner must be set correctly.
If it is off as little as 2 teeth, it will bend the valves.
Take it from a mechanic( don't do it)

I doubt you're going to get anyone to give u a good step by step answer. You could buy a Haynes car repair manual at the auto parts store. They do a decent job of step by step. Did you check to see if the pump is pumping? Leave off the radiator cap and run the engine. When it reaches operating temperature the coolant in the radiator should start to move indicating the pump is moving the coolant thru the engine block. PeeWee is right about the weep hole. Not leaking, probably not the pump.
