Why should he? The people who seem to like him are the ones who benefit the most from his policies - the ultra-rich, the war profiteers, the oil companies, etc. Those are the only people he cares about - the ones who gave generously to his campaign, and the ones that will give him a job when he joins the ranks of the unemployed in 2 years.

He doesn't care about the rest of the world. Let the poor schmuck who follows his clean up his mess. It's the Republican way...

I have a little joke re Bush: George Bush ,went to heaven ,becouse of his position as the leader of the most powerful contry in the world, was allowed to freely talk to st. Peter. So he ask to see Moses, Peter assured ,that he would do his best. Time passed and Bush was still waiting .Peter finaly throw some rangs over Moses,Thats enough, you must see Bush ordered Peter, Moses replayed : I will not talk to a Bush again. Last time that i did ,I wondered in the desert for 40 years. this was just to easy up the tention. He has the guts to do what his convintions dictate him. We can not say the same for many presidents. I think he does not overjoy if some people dislikes him ,this goes with the territory.I would not call it arrogance.

Bush may be one of history's least informed presidents. He insulates himself from the wider world, does not read newspapers or watch TV. Look at how long it took him to appreciate the extent of Katrina. He also does not welcome bad news or those who bring it. From what I read, Cabinet-level meetings = a jolly time was had by all. Journalists used to be able to quote White House sources, but no longer; staffers are afraid to identify themselves. I'm sure he knows his poll numbers but probably depends upon Karl Rove to tell him exactly how to massage stats like that. Pity no one has the cojones to tell him how to pronounce "nuclear."

He hasn't got sense enough to care one way or the other. Remember, we're dealing with a person who has a very inferior mentality and the IQ of a rock.

President Bush is aware of the percentile of his supporters, but, he is confident that any doubts will be restored once they see the outcome... Its not a matter of arrogance, (like your question) but, a matter of doing his job, which is what he focuses on..

President Bush is not as disliked as you would like to believe!! I suggest you start giving some real thought as to why you dislike him. Read a book about him and/or his policies by someone who likes him, and then another by someone who does not. Then, with complete honesty and open mindedness, make a decision as to which is the more rational. You might learn something.

I doubt if he sees it that way. If anything, he probably thinks it comes with the territory to a certain degree. Anyone in a very public position of power is going to have a lot of enemies. (I am not trying to minimize the damage he has done, btw. I'm just trying to explain how I think he would view his own situation.)

The only ones that dislike him are the democrats. Why worry about that? Being the President means that you have to make tough decisions and Bush has done that. He could have been like Clinton and not made the tough decisions like when he decided not to pull the trigger on Usama Bin-Laden just because he was worried about what people would think.

nope he doesn't care about it. even the welfare of the American people. he only cares about himself and the enrichment of his big oil company friends and big businesses that are raking in huge profits since the war began. Also those tax cuts for the rich.

Why should he care if he's liked? I'd rather be right than liked, especially as President. Let history be the judge.
