Well, probaly the same way I clean the S & S super on my 88 cubic inch FXDWG. First you determine how dirty it is. If it's not in bad shape you can rev the engine a bit and spray carb cleaner in there. If it's filthy and you have to take it off, that is another story. Take off the carb. Plug the hole with a rag. Dissasemble the carb and remove anything that will be damaged by solvent. (Mostly the float in the little ones.) Clean the snot out of everything including the jet(s) in strong solvent. Let everything dry and check the float while you are at it. (Needle seat also!) Remove the rag and put everything back together. Run the oil pump by hand or with a drill to make sure you got lube. Then fire that beast up and go to town! Ride safe!

-Remove the carb from the quad.
-Remove the 4 screws on the bottom and remove the float bowl.
This is what it will look like -
http://www.dansmc.com/indexindex.htm Go to - Carburetors - Main Jet.
Buy some carb cleaner that comes in a spray can.
-The floats pivot on a pin. Tap that pin out (be careful not to break the post and don't loose the needle. If the pin won't come out, you can leave it for now).
-Clean inside the float bowl.
-Remove the main jet and spray cleaner through it. Hold it up to light to make sure it's clean.
-Remove the pilot jet (the word "JET" in the picture is covering it).
-Spray cleaner through it. Hold up to light, you should be able to see through it. If you can't get it clear, push a strand of wire from a wire brush through it and spray again.
-Spray cleaner through every orifice of the carb. You'll know it's clean if spray comes out a different hole.
-That should be enough to get it running.
