would it give the application reviewer get a sense of who you are....or see who you are to match with your application? or does it seem conceeded and arrogant instead? I have seen in some schools that they accept photos in the applications but I always thought it would be a little weird....any application reviewers out there have an opinion?? I am applying to veterinary school next fall and am curious...

okay, i guess by the question i didn't necessarily mean "will it help you" get into the school, but rather, will the reviewer appreciate it, or think you're arrogant trying to show your picture???

I never met an MD who wasn't, deep down, arrogant and conceited. You pretty much have to be in order to get in and through med school. There are far fewer vet schools than med schools and the competition is at least as tough. So don't worry about that part.

As for a picture, well, how can it help? Veterinary school is graduate school. How will your appearance help the admissions committe decide if you'll be a successful vet student and an outstanding vet? I can't see any way.

On the other hand, including it could easily exclude you. What if somebody thinks you look like some mindless bimbo? Or doesn't like your eyes? Or the color of your skin? Including a picture exposes you to the vagaries of another person's personality, a person who is going to decide your future. Let them make that judgement based on your record, not how you look.

Uuhh, no. When you are accepted to an accredited University, you will generally have a Photo ID card that will be used as a parking permit, ATM card, and hold various other personal information on the back of the card.
