It can represent many things -- fear of failure, uncertainty about your ability to nurture, even death itself. A counselor would have to know more about the dream to give you a better answer. Of course, it always possible that it means nothing at all. It usually only has significance if you have the dream repeatedly.

Dream interpretation is subject to the dreamer. Does the plant represent someone or something or just a plant? Only you ran reach into your psyche and figure that out.

Dead plant could mean lost hope. Anything dead in the dream is very negative. Plant is supposed to be full of life. Projecting dead plant could well mean you are losing hope and stressed about certain things and subconsicously you don't see good things happened in your life. Perhaps, that is only when you have that feeling in that moment. That is why you vent it out in dream.

Satan is very seductive. If he wasn't, he wouldn't have so many followers. He makes people believe that he loves them, and will give them them power, make them stronger than the average human. That's why vampires and wizards are so popular. But he's NOT interested in making anyone powerful, he is only interested in keeping as many people from God as he can. The castle indicates power, the books in the library perhaps represent knowledge/wisdom of sorcery/magic. The decaying plants speak for themselves; everything has a price. Maybe you are feeling seduced by the powers of Hell.
