the fact that we love someone, is the reason we can be so hurt when they do things that make us wonder how can it feel so awful. If we didn't love them it wouldn't bother us, There are also people who hurt more easily than others, some can be wounded so easily, others not. I think it is the way a person grows up and what kind of family life they have had, they may have grown up with loving relationships around them, etc... love of parents, siblings. Others may not have been lucky enough to experience life with an atmosphere of love around them, and so when they are hurt they dont or cant seem to know how to deal with the pain. sometimes a person has to wait until the "other" person grows up a bit, or sit that person down and explain to him or her how their actions have made you feel.

Because we love them thats why it hurts so darn bad. Does a friend hurt you as bad as your mom or say a spouse? Think about it ppl If we did not love them we would not be so hurt. I feel ya pain. I have been married for 10 yrs. Just human nature to love a be loved , the pain comes along as an added feature.

I don't think it has anything to do with who loves us the most or who doesn't love us at all...
Now your question ... why do the people we love the most, hurt us the most?
The people we loved is never expected to hurt us atleast you wouldn't think so but unfortunately they do.. thats why it hurts us the most.. (You wasn't expecting them too).

Because we love them the most, the disappointment they caused hurts more. What bothers you more, an old friend forgetting your birthday, or your spouse/significant other forgetting your birthday. Things hurt more from the people we expect the most happiness from.

because anytime u are close to a person thats what happens..like when i lived with my mom, dad, and brother i used to feel left out, alone and invisible but i loved my family so much..then i got married and live with my husband now and sometimes i feel that way if hes not home....people we dont know cant hurt us as deeply as the ones closest to us.

I think it hurts more, because you trust that person more, you expect better from them. So when they disappoint you it hurts more than when just an average person you are not as close to hurts you.
The greater your expectation the greater your dissapointment when it is not fulfilled.

Because they can. A stranger doesn't know you well enough to really get under your skin or say the thing that cuts the deepest. It would have to be someone close to your heart to really hurt you deeply.

i always thought because i was more sensitive when it came to the ones i love. and that is why i was easily hurt or offended by something they did. compared to the ones i didn't give a sh_it about.
