my fave has to be sammy davis jnr. a great all rounder. what do you think?

nobody talks about or peter lawford, despite the fact that he was related to John F Kennedy. I don't even think i've heard him sing (or joey bishop for that matter) & since i'm a fan of jazz in general & the rest of the rat pack specifically, by inference i must conclude that they had to have been the worst of the lot.
Dean Martin had it all, but in my opinion, he wasn't as famous as Frank Sinatra 'cos sinatra had presence & his performance was direct & technically his phraseology was masterful. he was a good talker both socially & in the physical mechanism of creating speech. That's what gave him the edge he had.
Sammy Davis Jr was no slouch himself and it is just(ice) that he certainly has his favourites & i see that you're one of 'em.
To be honest though I have no favourites i love listening to all the ones i've heard (in the rat pack) & a few others (that aren't) including Billie, Ella, Simone, Jaco Pastorius, Keith Jarrett, Betty Carter & Rachelle Ferrellto name but a few.

Sang, Danced, Acted.
Musicals, Comedy, Drama.
Broadway, Motion Pictures, Television, Recording Artist.
He was the all around talent.
Second has to be Frank Sinatra.
He was everything, except a dancer, and I think Sammy has that over Frank.
But Frank Dean and Sammy are up there together now.
