We are having a halloweem party, and have made a haunted maze in the front 2 rooms of the house.. We had an idea to create a corpse to put in a coffin that i've already made. But we need some ideas on how to make the body... Keep in mind that there is a budget here, so think as cheaply as possible.

get a couple of those cheesy skeletons in a bag. get some spray glue and some elmers glue, toilet paper and paper towels. Use the paper towels as the dryed up leathery skin and attatch them with the spray glue. Once done pour the elmers glue into a bowl of some lind and soak the toilet paper in the elmers. Use this to make skin thats falling off, open wounds, whatever.

After it dries you can paint it with whatever you want. Just remember you can only use these inside. Getting them wet will be bad!

Depending on how thrifty a shopper you are you can probably do two for about 30 bucks.

Happy haunting!

Get a mannequin head, and use paint, so it will look pale. Make sure u can close the eyes or have it painted so it will look closed. Dress the body up in a full suit, socks, shoes, gloves and hat. Stuffed it with whatever cloth or styrofoam till it looks like a body and stiff looking. Dim the lights and it will look like real.
If it is woman stuff a full long sleeve dress, gloves, pantyhose and shoes with cloth or styrofoam or both. You can add a hat and veil to disquise the face.

Dim lights and make room smokey.

Well, there's always paper mache. You can use one of those cheap masks as the head and face. You just need some wire and paper to form the body. Then tear paper strips and put into a mixture of paste and water. The paste needs to be really runny. You can use wallpaper paste for this also. I know at our local newspaper, you can have as much as you need just for the asking. (all very old issues) Continue to cover your formed body and once dry, paint or put torn clothing on it. Hope this helps. It's cheap and easy.

Stuff some old clothing with crumpled newspapers and use a pumpkin for a head?
Paper Mache is a pretty cheap way to make a head/face

Ask at your local department store if you could rent or borrow a manikin. If you have some sort of Halloween costume shop there, they may have a manikin that you could rent. If not, use stuffing to fill a shirt and pants and use a mask for the face.

Take a cheap plastic skeleton and wrap in wet paper towels. Paint Grey or brown to emulate skin.

See you senile neighbor over the hedge? Whack it pretty hard on the head with a shovel, there goes your body - it doesn't even cost a dime!
