i think the media is blowing it way out of proportion. the amount of time that so many news outlets put into this stingray story is ridiculous. they just wanted an excuse to mention Steve Irwin's name again and revive his story...for ratings.
as for terrorist attacks, I think we're more likely to die from heart disease, cancer, or a car accident.

Well, Obama isn't really talking about getting rid of any of president Bush's security programs. He is going to stop detaining prisoners at our country's military facility in Cuba, and he is going to cease wiretapping without a warrant, but other than that, he doesn't have any real plans for doing away with Bush-era security programs. A nuclear terrorist attack isn't very likely, either, because of the difficulty of procuring atomic weapons. A full scale war like the one portrayed in Jericho would be nearly impossible for a terrorist group like Al Qaeda to carry out, although there is an incredibly remote possibility that a cyber terrorist attack could trigger a false alarm and spark a conflict between two major super powers, ending in nuclear war. The odds of a spy plane or weather balloon causing a similar mishap and creating a nuclear holocaust are higher than that, though.

The chances of either are remote. It would depend on where you live and what activities you follow. If you never go in the water then it would have to be a terrorist attack.

Neither ...I am more apt to twist my ankle on a pebble, fall and crack my skull on the pavement within five miles from my home.
