No, the heart without a brain cannot remember a thing but the brain will remember the pain that caused the hurt heart. If a broken heart really happened, there would be alot less people on earth, but the brain will always remember what it perceives as a broken heart and the pain thereby associated with it, not knowing if the heart is actually in two

Absolutely!
We all know people or have ourselves,experienced 'being in a fog'. Well, we may forget who, what or where we are or have been, but those stirrings within our souls, never will deceive us. I think it can be a blessing not to remember (in our minds) everything that we experience, especially if it is unpleasant. Those feelings can manifest itself in many ways, often diagnosed as 'mental issues', but down deep, we always remember.

Thats a good question. When in love you tend to remember more than what a friend you have coffee with wore the day before.So yes it does in a sense.
