People in 2000 AD,
way more going on I'm sure.
We get less sleep and are far more stressed than in 4000 b.c.

My bet is that people in 2000AD feel more tired than people in 4000BC did. Firstly because of all the clutter we have to deal with -- instead of just listening to birds in the trees, or the gentle sough of the wind, we hear traffic noises, the hum of electronic gadgets, TVblaring, cell phones ringing, etc.etc.etc. Against this aural distraction, we have the visual distraction of signboards, traffic lights, neon lights, emergency vehicles, automobiles we have to watch out for, all the stuff in the newspapers that we didn't really need to know but read about anyway (give me a break from Sir Paul and Heather!!!), etc.etc.etc. -- and all that is exhausting! We don't sleep as well, as there is so much ambient light and so much background noise, that a truly restful night's sleep is almost unknown.
The people in 4000 BC may have done harder physical work, as there weren't all the modern machines that help us with our jobs, but they didn't have the mental stresses that we do. And they quit work when the sun went down. Far as I know, there were no night shift jobs back then!
So I'd have to say the guys bck in 4000BC probably had it over us in terms of work schedules, and better sleep, and less stress.
That said, I think I'll take the exhaustion and keep my computer, my electric lights and my refrigerator, even if they do keep me up at night......
Just goes to prove slavery hasn't been abolished. We've simply changed masters and are now slaves to electronic gadgets instead of to other people.

That's a no brainer The people who lived in 4000 BC. Well think about it people lived longer according to the Bible. People were in better shape, they ate a lot better no grease, like now. The cholesterol level back then was probably less than normal in relationship to how high it is now. They walked practically every where they went. I would say their compaired to now was way better than ours, and I'm not a Dr.

Both, in different ways
I think people in 4000BC had more of an exhausting work schedules, since they had to do a lot of physical labor. They also got better sleep because they couldn't work during the dark hours.
I feel people in 2000AD are more stressed, though. Since we are more aware of the world around us, we worry about bigger things like global warming, world hunger, AIDS, etc.

I have to vote for 4000 BC. It had to be pretty stressful living in a world you knew next to nothing about. Not knowing when the next rain was coming or flood or the next meal maybe.

well....
It kinda depends... People way back then didn't have anything to do except to complete the five important things living things need to survive: eat, drink, have shelter, reproduce, and have clothing.
They didn't have any work to do.
But i guess it would be probably us since there are some of those who don't sleep at all for days and days.
