It's hard to pave our future when we dwell on past events.

Well, when muslims started to forget their true Islamic teachings they became weaker then the imperialistic and colony era invaded them and when they left, very little of the true culture and religion was still left. But, recently, there is true Islamic revival fought by extremists from inside and outside. Only Allah knows what will happen in the future. Let us hope for the peace and dialog between Muslims and non-Muslims as they were before.

why do you think that? you only know about a small percentage of the muslim population. i think you will be surprised to find there are a lot of muslims who practise islam just as well as people did back then...
