I have a three-way light (low, med, high). The high and low levels have stopped working, and I have tried replacing the bulb with two different new bulbs, so that isn't the problem. The medium level works, and that provides enough light for my needs. I'm wondering if it is safe to use, though?

the switch has malfunctioned..with electrical equipment I wouldent recomend using it for fear of fire..the switch isnt expensive or hard to replace..

there's no threat in useing the lamp as long as no excessive heat is building up at the switch, for a better answer i'd need more info about the lamp

i'd stop using the lamp.the switch is shot it's a simple fix to replace the switch. any hardware store carries new ones.
