the thing is, she wasn't supposed to be pretty or ugly. davinci painted the mona lisa with such detail and emotion that the viewer can see her soul. her mouth is like a smile and smirk. she poses with confidence but is still friendly. She is pleasing to the eyes, but she is not gorgeous.

I read that the mona lisa was really leonardo da vinci, and he painted himself as a woman. She looks like a man to me.

I think the painting of her is pretty, but there's no way of knowing if she really did look like that, or if she was just painted at her best.

I think that she is just an average everyday woman, not gorgeous but okay. I mean you have to remember that there were different standards of beauty at that time so what we see as beautiful is probably quite different from what they think is beautiful.

I don't think she's up to today's standards of beautiful. Do I think she's pretty- sure. I think that she looks better than some of those models when they aren't wearing makeup.

She's okay... not pretty, not ugly..
But for some reason, looking at it makes me think that she really didn't care about her appearance...
But that's just me

Considering who thought she was interesting enough to paint, I'd say she was a very attractive woman for her day.
