sweetheart, at first when i read this i thought you were my kid. literally!! she has just gone through exactly what you have and the nineteen year old boyfriend and everything. right down to the step-sister thing. anyway, honey, it depends on what state you are in as to the leniency of the laws. here in Texas you are legally an adult and can move out at 17. also judges are more lenient to emancipate our kids here. but here are some tips for you to get the help you need. first find a crisis center. then a legal aid center. they are free and have lots of sources to help you. you can also try a woman's shelter they have what is called a child's advocate. they are also free. i wish you all the best in the world. and talk to your dad if you can. at least let him know how you feel, call your mom if that is still a viable option and if she stood by you with what happened with your step-dad. know that you are not alone. seek counseling . you sound like you need an outlet.

yeah i think you can get emancipated. If you're going to school then contact your school counsiler and she will give you the right information. Or stop by a police station and ask them for more information. Your not the only one in the world that feels this way so don't be shy and don't worry.

Hope you get things the way you want :)
good luck.

No. Your parents have to be made aware of something legally being decided against them the judge can't do it. Both your Biological mom and dad will have to be told, they don't have to agree with it you can still proceed, but they have to be notified in order to show up for court.

Well for one you should tell someone ad out your abuse because if you don't it will eat you up in side? Because i know this because i was abuse growing up? With your boyfriend try and go to court and ask the judge if you can get mandated from your parents they are going to ask why so tell them? If you love this man do what ever it take to be with him?

If you are in the U.S., call a lawyer. They generally give advice for free for one visit. They may tell you over the phone the age you would need to be in your state.
