I was a single parent with three kids. It's very hard work raising kids and working, or going too school. Some days you may feel like you can't handle one more day!! But you can, and will, because you love that little 4 yr. old who is depending on you . I congraulate all the single mom's and dad's out there !! You will do fine, I'm sure. And you will be proud of yourself for getting a career in nursing, all the hard work will be well worth it. Good luck too you, and don't get all stressed out !!

I'm a single mother, with a full time job and am studying at uni to become a teacher. I'm telling you simply - routine! And not being afraid to ask family / friends for help. After all, you are doing this for the good of your family. I finish work at 5:00, pick up my daughter from after school care at half five, have her cleaned, fed and ready for bed by 7:30 and then study for the rest of the evening. Its not a very exciting life, but then again, you don't study forever. You will be exhausted, but mothers can (and do) do everything!

I've been a single parent for twelve years, ever since he was 2.

It is hard, I always worried about my son because I've never been able to spend much time with him. I wish things would have been different, he's doing ok though.

Yes Mam, it will be hard, but you and your child will benefit from you getting your degree now, while you are both still young. You will benefit from knowing that an independent lifestyle is , the light at the end of the tunnel.
