i want to be a cowboy this halloween. the problem is, as part of my dress code i have to wear some form of dress pants shirt, tie, and a jacket/vest/ or sweater that shows the tie.



i'm planning on wearing the tie that looks like 2 pieces of string but i dont know how to get an authentic look without getting detention for dress code

please help

The tie you're thinking of is called a bolo tie.

Can you wear a regular tie, but then cover it up with a bandana tied around your neck? I mean, if anyone asks, you can lift up the bandana and show them that you ARE wearing a tie, but otherwise no one will have to know it's there. As for the pants...go ahead and wear dress pants, but get some chaps to wear over them.

Bola tie are available at most country/western shops...you can usually pick 1 up pretty cheap. You might be pushing the limit but you are within the rules as you stated.
