My family is christain, and they are all very devote. I wanna be just like them, but sometimes its hard not to want things that arn't exactly...holy. Should I feel bad wanting things? Good advice needed

all men have sinned and fallen short of the glory of god this means all men are sinners and as long as you confess your sin to him you are forgiven

I doubt that the things you want are so different from what most other people want. You are human, and humans make mistakes. Too be honest (even though I'm not sure of what things you want), the things you want may not even be wrong, they just may go against your religion. I'm all for figuring things out for yourself. I was raised a certain way, told certain things and believed them because I thought I should. As I got older, I discovered those beliefs didn't work for me and that I never truly believed them anyway.

I'm not dogging religion, if you are spiritual and have faith I think that is great. Everyone (even your family) has made mistakes, and you will learn what choices are right for you. So no, don't feel bad, like I said, you are only human!!

Sounds like most of your family are older than you. Maybe some of the things that they've done in their past weren't exactly seen as 'christian', such as drinking or smoking. Maybe theyr'e trying to learn from their mistakes and are trying to set an example, but sometimes people don't exactly practice what they preach. They could still be sinning behind your back. At your age go out and have some fun, just ask advice and be careful.

It's difficicult to answer a question like this wothout knowing any real details. However, my best advice to you is to try to figure out what you believe is right and what is wrong. You don't have to accept everything that is preached to you, you can decide for yourself how to interpret your faith and what you feel in your heart is right. Ultimately, all anyone can do is live life the best way they possibly can and try to be an honest, ethical person. Good luck.

just becasue your family is devoted to the christianity thing doesnt mean that you have to be. If you want things theres nothing wrong with that. No one can tell you what you should and shouldnt believe. You tell yourself and follow what you think. Best of luck : )

I don't think that it is bad to want things, it's if you act on something that makes the difference.

I'm guessing your talking about sexual urges. And no, there not bad. God is not going to send you to h-ell for having sex before your married dear. If that's the case, then im guessing h-ell must be one crowded place, lol.
