The UK is a multicultural society and has been since just after the last Ice age. From each culture we have adopted the best of that culture and integrated it into our culture. In the future there will be other migrations and the best of features of those migrants will be integrated into our society.

The problem arises when immigrants close their societies to the population as a whole and do not integrate, for example Muslim men will take non Muslim women but it is forbidden for a Muslim woman to make out with any christian man.

Many of you may not have witnessed on TV a woman being executed in Afghanistan by a Taliban by having her throat cut in a public execution just because she wore high heeled shoes.

These people do not want to integrate into any society so there is no balance between certain religious groups and integration vis - a vis the debate about Muslim women wearing the full veil in public.

Multiculturalism isn't new. It existed long before the politically correct brigade. Back then it was called getting on with your neighbours. Integration should be a natural progression from multiculturism with all sides gaining in the long run. If only politicians and bleeding hearts would stop sticking their oars in just to keep themselves in jobs this would be a happier place and a lot of people would not feel so persecuted.
