If so how often should i do it? some says once a year others once every two years? anyways its gonna be winter soon i just dont know if ill be needing it?

Yes they come rust proofed from the factory. Yours is 5 model years old now. I would suggest getting it rustproofed maybe next year, Go somewhere reputable, and have it done/checked once a year. It's amazing how fast cars rust when the original protection wears down. So you can keep your forester looking good. I have seen cars that have been taken care of and cars that have been let go. The difference is big.

The Forester isn't an SUV, it is a taller Legacy wagon. this is no longer outfitted on a truck body, nor does or not this is able to be lifted a lot more advantageous than an inch or 2. you're literally not ever going to be ready to have itchronic offroad like a Blazer, Jeep, Bronco, and so on.

They come from factory undercoated.You can add more if you like ,but being that your forester is already 4-5 years old you may just be sealing any dirt or salt in.
