My internet use to be really fast, but now its really slow. Is there anything that i dont have to pay for to make it run faster?

Cheapest ways:
1) clean any spyware and viruses off of it. There are free programs for these things (ad-aware, spybot, AVG).
2) defrag your hard drive weekly.
3) don't run multiple IM clients at the same time.
4) If you're using a wireless network, make sure nobody else can steal its bandwidth. Use WEP to cut down on people scamming your signal.

Do a windows clean up, empty all the temporary internet files and defrag to begin with

http://www.ccleaner.com/ < go there and also get rid of any toolbars you don't need... the program is free and works wonders... you should see good results after running it and rebooting... your PC should pick up speed ... also if you don't have a spyware cleaning program I recommend SPY SWEEPER by webroot... (it cost about $30)works well... its essential to keep spyware off your PC .

~ Or if this doesn't speed it up; backup all your files then reinstall...
