I think this fashion came from the gangster culture. And they got it from prisoners who dont wear belts in prison, for obvious reasons! Why do you want to emulate prisoners? Do you really think your future is in prison?

I don't wear them around my knees, but I do know that most of those 'gangsta' ppl out there doing it don't know it's true origin.
And btw, it's actually supposed to be worn by gay men in prison, just to show that they're gay.

I've always wondered that. On some it looks pretty good. On others, it just says, "I'm just an idiot who's either trying to copy what's around me, or I really forgot my belt this morning," but, then on the majority, there's the extreme of the person who wears it to the point where it falls to their ankles every 5min. Now, THAT, is just stupid.

I think it looks stupid. If I were the fashion police, alot of those idiots would be in prison.

It's a style they choose to wear... let people have a choice and wear their clothes the way they want to.
