The setting is the time and place. It's Christmas Eve, in a small apartment. If memory serves, it's in New York in the early 1900's.
The theme is the lesson we can learn about life--that love is more important than material possessions.

the setting is the couples house, I believe. The theme is, I think Do unto Others or something like that.
