i personally love led zeppelin. they are the freatest band of all time and a lot of their stuff is great to work out to. some other great older bands are AC/DC, aerosmith, the who, boston, CCR, the eagles, kansas, RHCP, and the stones.
for more modern 90's thru today rock i am huge fans of the arctic monkeys and foo fighters. besides them i listen to three days grace (harder, but good for workouts), oasis, nickelback, the killers, goo goo dolls, the fray, bon jovi, five for fighting, and audioslave. all of those are amazing bands, some better for workouts than others (five for fighting is piano based versus three days grace which is hard rock) but i love it all
