not much.......manufacturers went to thinner oil to reduce drag for fuel economy, keep oil cleaner, and also improve cold start flow to vital components.
The thicker oil could induce a very very small amount of cold start wear and slightly decrease fuel economy. If the outside temp is fairly warm....leave it in and change to proper oil at next change.

If you use the wrong oil "to" a car, you have no problem. If you use the wrong oil in the car's engine, then you can be in a world of hurt. Multi-viscosity engine oil is made to work at different temperature extremes, both cold and hot. It protects against friction at all times, but when hot it will thin out to flow easier and remove some heat. I used 20-W50 my big block 396 when Iived in Texas. I had to use 10-W40 when I was in Seattle since the oil was so thick the car had a hard time starting! Engine size, load, and climate are all conditions for picking an oil. Ask you neighbor who has a similar car what they use.

you will be fine you dont need to change the oil it wont hurt anything it is just a little thicker oil it will mix with the other oil and thin out anyway this is a better oil to be running any way it will help the motor run cooler by not working as hard and the guy from jiffy lube if he only put 3 1/2 quarts in a car like that he cheated them out of 1 1/2 quarts your car will take between 4 to 5 quarts

Nope, just leave it until the next oil change comes due. Unless you suddenly have a cold snap and get into below zero temperatures.

It's not gonna affect your car right away, but if you keep doing that, the engine's gonna die for sure.
