I am attending a Sat. afternoon wedding and have purchased a beautiful floor length gown (turquoise, satin, low cut). I haven't been to a wedding since I was 9 am now 22! So I am not sure if this dress is appropriate.

It sounds gorgeous but a little like you're trying to detract form the bride's big day. I'm not suggesting that you're trying to stela the spotlight but I'd go wiht somethind a little less extravegant. Good luck. Wear something you're comfortable with.

Unless the invitation specified that it was formal a long satin gown sounds a bit overdressed for an afternoon wedding. But there is nothing that says you cant wear a long dress to a wedding.

It sounds like a beautiful dress to me. I think it would be all right to wear it to the wedding. Maybe you need to check on the colors that may be at the wedding also such as the bridesmaids colors, etc. I've been to quite a few weddings and I noticed that many of the guests were also coordinating their colors with the bridesmaids.

Wear your dress, but if you're worried that you might show too much bust wear a shawl just in case. The reasons for wedding receptions is to look good, celebrate, and have fun.

Oh yes. It's about time we started to dress elegantly. Mini's are fine and all, but going back to the good old days is something we should all think about. Go for it, you will get tons of compliments!!

NO! You can't distract attention from the bride. Just wear something a little more low-key and you'll be fine.

Of course! Go for it! I am sure you will not be the only woman there with a long dress.

Yes! That's fine.

Well if your wearing white then I suggest you take it back to the store.
