never procrastinate!! Start your homework while the lesson is fresh in your mind. writing abooutit so soon or practcing it will help it stick in your head. Taking notes even if you never use them helps things stick in your head as well. something about writing things down. don't cram for tests just lightly read or skim chapters every night for a few nights then on the last night try to do all the questions they give you in the book. or go over all your tests your teacher has given you.if it's english you have to figure out what syle of writing they want right off the bat so see who got an A and ask to read it.

I hate the study hard answer... Honestly, I believe there are simply some things people are good at and some things they are not. For me, its English and NOT math. For one, do all your homework right when you get home and work on projects or study for upcoming tests and quizzes if you have extra time, unless you were overwhelmed with work and just plain pooped. Go before or after school for tutoring from your teacher whenever your grades are dropping below your usual average.

I'm nop top student, but i could be if I wanted to. So here... Just be the best you can be and study hard, don't get into so much trouble, be responsible, get good grades, be mature...ect.
So many... I'm too and I ditch alot. So that's why I'm not a top student...anymore.

in my opinion, it just takes damn good genes to be a top student. Im in honors classes, but make it by with low Bs and a few Cs every now and then. I work so hard just to get by, when others just fly by me and it sucks. If you are really smart, i suggest taking notes every lesson and studying them. if you are in honors like me but not quite as smart as the others, switch to regular classes if you want your GPA and grades up. Even though i get 1.3% for my GPA in every honors course, my actually grades arent too good.

study, reserve like 30 (at least 20) minutes for each class each night, so you can study, and will have time to do your hw. actually do your hw in study hall, or go to the library at lunch or another free period, and dont watch tv when ur doing ur hw.

focus.

study for tests, do not postpone any homework assignments.

if you need help with something, ask the teacher...this will show him or her that you CARE about your grade

make sure you have all your homework with you when you get to class
