ok now my last period was sep 25 so I knew that my period should have been any day now...the thing is now I just went to the bathroom and noticed some (srry) like very dark red almost brown like sticky tacky blood when I wiped.now im not sure in this spotting or my period...what does spotting look like and what does this sound like to you???now if this is spotting if I take a preg test tommorrow morn will it come up correct???

If it is implantation bleeding give it 48 hrs before testing. This happened to me and I had taken a pregnancy test a day earlier. It had come out negative. So, I had another done 2 days later when I relaized that my period was not coming, it was just some spotting and I got a very faint, very faint positive line. I made an appt with my OBGYN office for the next day and took a blood test. I had a baby boy.

Alright, several questions here. First of all, stop worrying about whether it's gross or not, I'm sure we've all heard and seen worse.
Spotting can look many different ways, ranging from a very light pink tinge to your discharge to an almost black tarry substance. It can be brown, or any shade of red. It may be only a tiny bit, or it may be enough that you need a panty liner (not really a maxi-pad, if you're bleeding that much it isn't spotting). It may happen only once, or may continue for days depending on the cause of it. What you describe could be spotting caused by implantation bleeding, if you are pregnant, or it could be a very slow start to your period, or there could be another problem and your period might be missed for another reason entirely.
No one can tell you if a pregnancy test will or will not be correct. Some women can take a test a few days after conception and it will be positive, others cannot get a positive result until they are as much as 4-5 months pregnant. It all depends on the level of HcG in your urine. You can try taking the test, but for the majority of women, it is more likely to be correct around a week after your missed period. If you simply can't wait, try the test. If it comes back negative, wait for your period. If you still haven't started in a week or so, try another test. If it is negative as well, wait another week for your period, and then call the doctor if you still have negative tests and no period. Your physician can do a blood test that will turn up lower levels of HcG that urine tests can't detect. Also, if you are not pregnant and something else is wrong, it's important to get checked out as soon as you can.

Kinda sounds like the start of your period... If you have had sex in the last 48 hours you could just have a distarge that contains blood from an irritated cervix. Kinda sound like it too... Also if you wait a week and your period still doesnt grace you with its presence then it is okay to take a test, probably will be more acurate if you wait another week. Whatever it is best of luck.

Sounds like old blood being passed. You could be pregnant and getting rid of the old stuff. This will not interfere with your test. Spotting is a little speck here and there and bright red in color.
If this is really bothering you get a GYN to take a look. It could be nothing but a light period.

the same thing happened to me then a day later there was nothing i took a pregnancy test & it came up negative so i took another one at the Dr's a few days later and it was positive now i have a beautiful 10 month old son.
sounds to me like it could be spotting. did u have sex after your last period? well obviously or you wouldnt be worried about pregnancy....
i say wait and see how long this bleeding goes for then take a test...

a pregnancy test will ot give false positive , meaning if your not prego thenyou wont get a positive result. It could just be the beginning of your period. I get dark discharge about 1-2 days before the red bleeding. Hope this helped

Yes , a pregnancy test should come up correct; but let your doctor do the tests. You need to be seen because it is possible that you are having an early miscarriage. See your doctor now!! good luck. Dona G.

It could be implantation bleeding or it could be your period starting. Give it a few days and if your period does not come, than take a test. Good luck.

Sounds like spotting. If you take a test tomorrow, it MIGHT be correct. Just make sure you don't drink a lot of liquids before you take the test, it can dilute your pee.

It is hard to say. It might be spotting. I would say that if things haven't changed, then I would probably wait till you miss your period and then test. it may be to early. But give it time.
