even the Nazi army was freed from prison camps after ww2 .What gives with a war that never ends and detainees with no rights .

Naturally, the common people don't want war ... but after all it is the leaders of a country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country.

That's the idea-whether they really are terrorists or not. Terrorism doesn't give us a tangible enemy with a tangible objective.Terrorism is the wartime METHODOLOGY employed by ruthless SOB's to achieve their military aims.How do you launch a fullscale war on
a methodology/ideology? least of all, without violating the rights of
your own citizens?

The answer is you can't and the reason is that it's Bull S-hit.

When you commit crimes or atrocities you risk life imprisonment or death from police or combat troops - goes with the territory.

Those same perils do NOT normally threaten people who live peaceably.
