All the Australians I have ever met were great. Any American that has served with Australians will say the soldiers are equal to any in the world. I served along side Australian special forces and they became lifelong friends. I would follow them into hell to deliver gasoline.

Personality wise I would say every Australian I have ever met was easygoing, the opposite of arrogant.

The only time I have ever met Australians I did not like was on a job. We were working on projects for different companies, the projects had opposing goals and we were constantly fighting. One day my American colleages and I were discussing an episode of the Crocodile Hunter. One of the Australians hissed "not all Australians are like the Croc hunter". We stopped and said if they were it would be the greatest country ever. There was a slight pause and we all started laughing. The project went smooth after that and I keep in touch with all of those guys.

I am an American and I have always thought you Aussies are good friends and loyal allies to the USA. Both, you and the Brits are free and your countries are democracies so you are able to have opinions on government and to speak out if you disapprove. I have noticed that many people that profess to be Aussies or Brits that make entries on this site are not exactly agreeable to our war in Iraq. Lots of Americans are not either. Nothing wrong with honest disagreement. I guess history will provide the answer as to who was right. I do not consider Aussies arrogant. They seem to be down to earth people.

I don't know much about Australia but I have been talking for some time with a lady from Australia and a Gentleman there. I have been having a hoot and a half! Both are very funny and fun loving and I look so forward to hearing from them every day. I wouldn't say either are arrogant. We have developed quite a friendship and I would love to be able to go to Australia some day and meet them.

The following opinion is based solely on non-personal experience, and is thus mostly stereotypical:

I see you as somewhat arrogant, mostly pretty hard working, and often pretty hot (in general). I have never even considered the idea that Australia has a military. I do know all about the rabbits and the cane toads.

No, not at all. I don't hate any of our allies, because they support us on whatever we do and are not disloyal. You have helped us in Iraq and Afghanistan and without Australia and England's help, we would be in big,big trouble.Your government seems fine, your military from what I've heard is pretty good. Your personalities seem like ours and you don't seem arrogant at all. In every country, there are always arrogant people, but you country doesn't seem like a big, arrogant country. You just seem like a good country. I have nothing bad to say about you guys.

I don't think any differently than how I think of us Americans. I believe everyone is equal and it's not like Austrailians aren't citizens of America. I don't understand stereotypes and never will. Most people probably think of you as another group of people but I don't...you guys are all like us right? We all are the same. =] And anyways, I think Austrailians are AWESOME...I LOVE their accents and personalities. Yu guys all seem like wonderful people..wouldn't be surprised if you guys were better people than us over here right now. Lol.

As far as I know Australia is a good country My only problem with them is The BReed specific laws against Pitbulls... I think it is horrible to kill innocent animals because of some idiots who fight them or make them people aggressive!!! to me its like killing a whole family because one child comitted murder it is not logical. I have 3 pits(6 years + in age) and they love us they love our kids and i dont worry about my kids with them it is unfair to tell a person you cant have this dog! it like telling a person you cant have a motorcycle because they kill people!

I've only met a handful of Australians, and they were all female. But I liked them; they seemed very easy-going and had a good sense of humor. They said "No worries" a lot.

I've heard nothing but positive things, except the men often don't consider the women as equal.
