If you were to lay down every wall down so it is just one big rectangle, the height would be 8ft. and the length would be 44ft.
44ft x 8ft = 352
352/105= 3.3
So he would need 4 cans of paint.

It will depend on how many coats of paint he will need to cover the old paint so it not show.

9 or 10 -- Because, if he paints anything like me, he's going to accidently knock one of those stupid *%#!!! cans over all over the carpet and then he's going to need to go back over some of the spots with a 2nd coat. Then he'll find out that the store didn't match one of the cans correctly but his wife will decide she liked the wrong color better than the one she originally picked out and he'll have to do the whole thing over.
