rap is a bunch of stolen beats, bad lyrics, feuds, poser lifstyles, and lots and lots of drama.

I ll tell you. I m european, i m 18, musician(guitarist) and one important thing to know about me is that i like classical more than anything. I love Black Metal, Neoclassical Metal, Power Metal, and generally EUROPEAN Metal because of their strate influences from classical music. So before these i was a lot into rock (and still am) instead of rap. The reason? It's too simple: I want to hear music first of all. I mean i want to listen to something called MELODIES, something wich is palyed by MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS, from people who are MUSICIANS and have spend many hours practising. I mean i prefer Rock because IT IS Music.
I do not judje anyone. Just Rap has nothin to offer me, has no melodies, lyrics about violence, sex, kills, drugs etc. It is performed by people who are NOTHING, just went couple of years jail, with two tatoos, and big pants. They have no relation to music.
That's not bad. I mean just dont call rap a genre of music. It is not. Somethin in order to be called music must have the above. Maybe it's one other kind of art (if it is art talkin bout these things)....
So i prefer Rock, wich wrote history and has survived for over half a century cause of it's quality, and capability to touch our feelings.
I just do not want call Rap as a genre of music, and rappers as musicians cause they have NO ****** IDEA what bein a musician means (they do not even know an instrument!!! What kind of musicians r they????)..... Sorry if bein a bit agressive. That's how i feel.

Ask yourself this question...how many Rap Stars are in the Rap Hall of Fame??? and how many Rock Stars are in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame????

**Just a personal opinion & I am not knocking Rap, it is a personal preference, I think.**

Depends what mood i'm in.
I have rock days and i have rap days, (also soul, 80's 70's, random).
I like going to rap clubs but it's too much hassle being old and white, whereas going to rock clubs is so much more laid back.

Rock definitely. Just because that's my taste I guess. I love music, and rock music usually has the most meaning, although I listen to a lot of other stuff too.

ROCK!!! Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Disturbed, Korn... they OWN rap! I'd MUCH rather listen to meaningful music in lieu of "lyrics" about game systems, smacking b*tches up, and chicken noodle soup. Woooow... now THAT'S deep. *rolls eyes*

Rock all the way. I rather listen to real emotion then about some gangsta who wants to tap dat and talk about his bling blang. Rock is REAL music.. rap is just crap... haha there a reason why it rhymes
