Okay, when you see "Green Day," you generally don't think of a song that would fit a funeral. But the song "Time of Your Life" is really pretty, and they used it on an episode of ER for a funeral and it was awesome. They sang it a capella.

Another turning point; a fork stuck in the road.
Time grabs you by the wrist directs you where to go.
So make the best of this test and don't ask why.
It's not a question but a lesson learned in time.

It's something unpredictable but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

So take the photographs and still frames in your mind.
Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time.
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial.
For what it's worth, it was worth all the while.

It's something unpredictable but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

It's something unpredictable
but in the end it's right.

but in the end it's right.
I hope you had the time of your life.

There You'll Be would be a very good song for a funeral. I personally like One Day I'll Fly Away, but I'm not quite sure that anyone else would. You should listen to it. It's a good, slow song.

Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again-The Phantom of the Opera, is also a VERY good funeral song. It'd seriously not leave a dry eye in the room. And I mean that quite seriously. Here's a link to the lyrics:

(Of course, the word "father" would have to be changed to something like "mother", but all in all it'd make it a great song.)

Sorry for your loss.. Faith Hill is great. Check with her friends or family to see what her favorite, or their favorite might be. Funeral is more for the living than the deceased. Also check out her Bible if she had one, look for any marked verse, then find an approriate song. Also consider favorite saying, poem, things we will remember about her etc.

Brad Paisley and Dolley Parton "When I Get Where I'm Going"

or Dierks Bently "Gonna Get There Someday"

They kind of have a Christian overtone and are very melodic and sentimental.

Incubus also has a song "I Miss You" that I like.

I'll also go with "Wind Beneath My Wings." by Bette Midler. It's a beautiful and deep meaning song. I chose it for my mother's funeral and have never regretted it. Really very sorry about your aunt

If your Aunt was religious then you might want "When the Roll is Called Up Yonder"
or "Shall we Gather at the River" Both are good songs.
Condolences for you and your family.
