The Kennedy's aren't quite sure if they want that kind of exposure, someone might actually find out that:

1) Since Joe Kennedy, Sr. piled up that huge fortune in the Depression as a bootlegger, not one of the Kennedy's has held an honest job

2) It's hard to be seen as the conscience of the nation (though the media does try hard to cast them in this light) when you have broken more laws than most Mafia families

3) It's his turn for rehab that year

4) He hasn't learned how to play touch football as good as Uncle Jack

5) Uncle Ted might need a ride to the head shrinker

6) Can you run for President without having to leave the Hamptons? He just so hates the traffic and having to mix with all the common folks, they might get sweat on his silk shirts...

I'm thinking he will take a pass. It's such a fuss...

He doesn't have his Granddaddy's money. That name hasn't been the same this Jack Kennedy was buying the mob for JFK and helping pay to keep Ted's "youthful indescritions" from getting too exposed. Yeah we all know Ted was in a "car crash" into the lake BUT it could have been alot worse had Jack not still been barely alive to help spin control. As to no Kennedy since then having an honest job, please don't forget JFK Jr. He went out and tried to make an honest name for himself but was stuck with the Kennedy name.

He received't run, and this is probable an outstanding element that he doesn't. I do like his politics, and he's an fairly smart guy. yet, have you ever seen him talk? he's very, VERY undesirable at it. So undesirable that you first type of flinch and then ought to get previous his speech cadence to what he's making an attempt to say. no one will ever get to the Oval workplace it is no longer a minimum of sufficient in public speaking. EDIT: ^5 Stephanie - large minds and all that ;)

Likability and common sense. He has a strong family name, but I think his political past and strongly divisive nature would keep him from presidency. Talk about a polarizing political figure!
or Maybe because he helped Air America go bankrupt? Could you really listen to that voice on tv giving a speach? Maybe it's just me but it grates on my nerves like fingernails on a chalk board. But by all mean tell your party to nominate him. you never no

But by all mean tell your party to nominate him. I wouldn't listen to what he had to say anyway like a lot of folks don't listen to his radio show lol

I love RFK Jr's message. In this media age his pained, distorted voice would turn off voters.

I hate it but that's the way it is.

I think Kerry might run again but this time I will be more confident about voting for him (I voted for him in 04') I like his plan for terrorist, turning it into police-work in all terrorist countries instead of going country to country with expensive military forces.
